ABOUT ME
I'm a journalist based in Connecticut, currently pursuing my B.A. in journalism with a minor in media studies at Central Connecticut State University. My work spans sports, feature and hard news reporting with a growing focus on multimedia and video storytelling. I've covered everything from men's and women's basketball to local and national news.
My reporting has been recognized by both the New England Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the Society of Professional Journalists. I received a Crystal Pillar Award and a first-place finish in the CT SPJ College Journalism Contest for Project Brazil: Reporting Climate Change, a collaborative digital news magazine that highlights how Brazilian communities are confronting and adapting to the effects of the global climate crisis.
I served as sports editor at The Recorder, CCSU's student newspaper, where I led coverage of CCSU athletics, assigned stories, mentored writers on formatting and AP Style and helped shape editorial direction. Outside of sports, I've reported on campus-wide issues and covered the Student Government Association, focusing on stories that impact student life and campus decisions.
I'm passionate about journalism that combines strong storytelling with digital and visual elements, and I'm always looking for new ways to grow as a reporter and storyteller.
MY RESUME
"Journalism can never be silent: that is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault. It must speak, and speak immediately, while the echoes of wonder, the claims of triumph and the signs of horror are still in the air."
Henry A. Grunwald
